[ CHALLENGE & DESIGN RATIONALE )
Blue Remedy is a 2D side-scrolling game that combines adventure and puzzle mechanics to depict a world consumed by pollution. Created as a university capstone project, it explores seasonal environments—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—each reimagined with visual motifs of contamination. The project was a finalist in both Game Concept and PC Game categories at the 2020 CSS Design Awards (放視大賞).
I contributed to the game’s visual identity and mechanics design, focusing on the main character Oka’s ability to shift between three water-based forms (solid, liquid, vapor) for traversal and strategy. I created environment art, seasonal levels, UI mockups, and animated assets, emphasizing contrast between natural beauty and decay to support both gameplay clarity and thematic storytelling.
