Visual identity design for NTUE’s 2020 graduation show, centered on digital aesthetics and satirical messaging.
[ CHALLENGE & DESIGN RATIONALE )
This project was the official visual identity for the 109th Graduation Exhibition of the Department of Digital Technology Design at National Taipei University of Education, and was also featured at YODEX 2020. Titled “Trap,” the theme reflected the department’s ironic humor and rebellious creativity, responding to the idea of being "trapped" by digital design while simultaneously using it as a medium for expression. The design direction emphasized digital aesthetics with a twist—highlighting the program’s distinct self-deprecating tone and willingness to defy norms.
I led the overall visual concept and executed a wide range of design deliverables. These included the main visual, customized avatar generator, official website banners, email direct mailers, promotional posters, photo booth standees, attendee badges, and a short promotional animation for both the website and exhibit trailers. The visual system was designed to scale seamlessly across both digital and physical applications, ensuring strong identity cohesion throughout the event. This work was shortlisted for the Golden Pin New Talent Special Award at YODEX 2020.
