Visual branding system for NTUE’s graduation exhibition and YODEX showcase, focused on building a distinctive event identity across digital, print, video, and on-site interactive touchpoints.
[ CHALLENGE & DESIGN RATIONALE )
TRAP was the official visual branding project for the 109th Graduation Exhibition of the Department of Digital Technology Design at National Taipei University of Education, also presented at YODEX, Taiwan’s largest student design exhibition. The project required a flexible and memorable visual identity that could support event promotion, on-site communication, online visibility, and audience engagement across multiple channels.
I developed the main visual direction and extended it into a complete set of promotional and event assets. The design system combined bold digital aesthetics, playful visual language, and a strong graphic identity to help the exhibition stand out in a competitive design fair environment. The visual approach was created not only to represent the exhibition theme, but also to function effectively across large-scale display backdrops, web banners, email campaigns, social and video content, printed signage, badges, and interactive photo installations. The final deliverables included a large-scale key visual backdrop, customized profile visuals, official website banners, EDM designs, VIP exhibition invitation cards, static promotional billboards, interactive standees, event badges, web teaser videos, and branded opening sequences for student project showcase videos. The project was shortlisted for the 2020 YODEX Golden Pin New Talent Special Award, recognizing its strength as a cohesive exhibition branding system with strong visual consistency across both digital and physical environments.
