TEART
UI /UX
Comprehensive Key Visual Design Package & User Experience Research
In a household where family members rely more on texts than conversation, Teart offers a gentle invitation to reconnect. As one person sends a message, the recipient watches it appear on the screen while a cup of tea begins to brew. The flavor and warmth reflect the tone of the message—turning digital words into something tangible. When prompted to make a second cup, the sender is encouraged to join in person. Teart transforms everyday messages into shared moments, bridging emotional gaps through ritual and presence.

TEART
[ DESCRIPTION )
Concept product for a UX research project, transforming messages into flavored tea to encourage face-to-face family communication.
[ CHALLENGE & DESIGN RATIONALE )
This project began with user research exploring overlooked pain points in everyday life. Our team focused on emotional disconnect within families—an issue amplified by the rise of text-based communication. We found that digital messages often fail to convey emotions, leading to misunderstandings even among those living under the same roof.
To address this, we designed Teart, a concept tea dispenser that connects to messaging platforms and translates texts into tea with distinct flavors and warmth based on emotional tone. The recipient reads the original message while the tea is prepared, creating space for reflection. Teart then encourages the sender to brew a second cup—prompting face-to-face conversation and emotional reconnection.
